
Meet Wesley Murphy, Registered and Licensed Dietitian Nutritionist.
Wesley holds a Master of Science degree in Nutrition & Wellness from Benedictine University in Lisle, Illinois. During his time in graduate school, Wesley worked with his team to develop, implement and present an educational nutrition intervention for young athletes with the goal to improve nutrition, growth and performance. Additionally, his education focused on advanced nutritional science while learning how to review and translate scientific literature into everyday practice.
His specialties include: liver and cardiovascular disease, weight management, kidney disease and diabetes, nutrition and neurological disorders, general health and fitness as well as optimizing nutritional status before and after surgery.
With clinical experience and a high level of knowledge in nutritional physiology and human nutrition, he is able to assess his clients and tailor nutrition interventions to meet their unique needs in effort to help them meet their goals.
His experience also includes completion of supervised practice in a variety of settings, with most of his time spent in the clinical acute and subacute setting, which allowed him to become a registered and licensed dietitian nutritionist. He is currently an active clinical dietitian who provides medical nutrition therapy to help people meet their health and nutrition goals, assure adequate nutrition in those with medical conditions, or simply answer their nutrition-related questions and concerns.
